Baby Bump Recap

July 24th we found out we were expecting. Jesse kept saying "I think you're pregnant, I know we're pregnant" but I was having a difficult time believing it. He convinced me to take a pregnant test but it was negative. Then, about a week later, this happened:

Still couldn't believe it!  The idea of becoming pregnant always seemed terrifying, but once it happened it just seemed like exactly how things were supposed to be. So we hugged and cried and had a very difficult time keeping our big secret. We were too excited! The first 10 weeks seemed like forever, but finally we got to see our little jelly bean.

I'm back! And married! And expecting!

It's been a very busy year for the Simmermon family! I'm embarrassed it's been almost a year since my last post. My resolution for 2014 is to do to a better job of keeping up with my posts. So to recap:

May 26th, 2013
We got married! It was such a perfect day, we could not have asked for anything better.  We flew to Pennsylvania a few days before the wedding, just in time for boys day/bridal shower and a gorgeous rehearsal dinner in the woods. Having everyone you love and care about in the same place, at the same time, is both overwhelming and so special. In a nutshell, best day ever.

Dog Park

Last weekend we took Derby to the dog park. She's kind of slow, and for some reason she doesn't really know how to play at the park. She likes playing with other dogs and she LOVES the dog beach, but the regular park confuses her. She introduces herself to other pups and then just hangs around by Jesse. We throw sticks and balls, we run and jump. She just stands there and we look like idiots. It's a pretty park though so we go every now and then anyway. Each time we expect a different outcome but it's always the same. Oh Derby...

International Auto Show

I don't really care about cars (don't tell Jesse) but I tagged along anyway. Jesse, Kyle, and I went downtown the weekend after Christmas to check out the car show. I think I enjoyed lunch more than the fancy cars.
