Dog Park

Last weekend we took Derby to the dog park. She's kind of slow, and for some reason she doesn't really know how to play at the park. She likes playing with other dogs and she LOVES the dog beach, but the regular park confuses her. She introduces herself to other pups and then just hangs around by Jesse. We throw sticks and balls, we run and jump. She just stands there and we look like idiots. It's a pretty park though so we go every now and then anyway. Each time we expect a different outcome but it's always the same. Oh Derby...

International Auto Show

I don't really care about cars (don't tell Jesse) but I tagged along anyway. Jesse, Kyle, and I went downtown the weekend after Christmas to check out the car show. I think I enjoyed lunch more than the fancy cars.

Christmas 2012

I've been slacking in my posts recently. We had a really nice Christmas despite being away from family.  Kyle and Amy came over Christmas morning to exchange gifts (Rob had duty). We forced our family traditions onto our friends this year. We bought funzie stocking stuffers for everyone; a mixture of gag gifts and REAL PRESENTS! We had an awesome time. The morning was spent opening presents, trying out our gifts, soaking in the hot tub, playing darts, taking shotskis, and cooking. Jesse had to go into work later in the evening but fortunately Amy and Kyle stuck around to watch movies and keep me company. Also everyone was in a food/sugar coma so no one really had the option of leaving :)
