With only 3 days until my due date, Jesse had the brilliant idea last night to post on Facebook that we had the kid. I really didn't think that anyone would buy it, but I was pleasantly surprised at the number of people we were able to fool. Our phones started blowing up at about 6am, which was fine for Jesse since he was up for work, but not so great for me. I didn't consider the 3 hour time difference when Jesse posted it. I guess that's what I get for trying to trick people! We took the picture last night and hoped that people would think we were at the hospital, and not realize that I was actually sitting in the nursery. We dressed up Jesse's childhood stuffed monkey and crossed our fingers that people wouldn't think it was weird that you couldn't actually see the baby's face in the very first picture ever posted of it. Some people realized we were posing in our own house, some thought it was weird I wasn't too swollen to wear my wedding rings, some people didn't think I looked disheveled enough, and some thought it was weird that they were learning of the birth on Facebook instead of receiving a phone call. Our favorite aspect of the whole thing was the made up name we posted. Britnee-Lynn Arizona Simmermon. It's just too much :). Needless to say, we enjoyed our April fools prank and hope everyone else got a kick out of it as well! But seriously, we welcome labor at any time now. Come on Baby S!
