The Urban Shave

For our anniversary, I got Jesse a straight razor shave at a super hipster barber in Hillcrest. It was perfect timing because he had just gotten back from the carrier, and that ridiculous mustache had to go.  The shop was tiny, but super cool. There was one chair, a Koken, which was much older than ours. The barber also looked really hipster. The shave took about an hour, and was quite the experience. The barber even used orange infused hot/cold towels on Jesse's face. Oo la la!

After the shave, we went out to eat at an Asian-Fusion restaurant in Little Italy. We ate kimchi and cucumber salad, and this ginormous ramen dish. It was so-so, but the restaurant was really cool, and they had fun outdoor seating.

We also stopped at an Italian market so Jesse could stock up on prosciutto and olives
